Spicy French Fries
This is a tradition with a twist. You can substitute other herbs to your liking or increase the amount of cayenne pepper to really make these fries fiery!
Serves 2
INGREDIENTS:
2 russet potatoes
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
3 tbsp olive oil
1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (Depending on your preference.)
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 400°
- Peel potatoes and cut into 1/4 inch thick, 1/4 inch wide fries
- Use 2 tbsp olive oil to grease a cookie sheet well
- Place fries onto cookie sheet
- Drizzle remaining tbsp olive oil over fries
- Bake for 20 min, remove from oven and turn
- Sprinkle with herbs, dust with salt and pepper
- Bake another 20 min or until fries are browned on the outside and tender on the inside
As always, we encourage the use of organic and locally grown produce and free range meat in all your cooking!
